Julian "Bear" McCreary es un compositor y músico estadounidense.
Bear es un pianista de formación clásica y un autodidacta acordeonista. Se le conoce sobretodo por su trabajo en las series de televisión Battlestar Galactica, The Walking Dead y Da Vinci's Demons.
El 15 de julio del 2013 anunció que compondría la banda sonora de la serie Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.. Bear fue productor orquestal para la ópera-rock de "Metalocalypse: The Doomstar Requiem", esta es una continuación del universo Metalocalypse, siguiendo la banda "Dethklok". La música cuenta con una orquesta de 50 piezas, la banda sonora fue lanzada el 29 de octubre del 2013.
En 2013, obtuvo un Primetime Emmy Award (Outstanding Original Main Title Theme Music, por Da Vinci's Demons) y un ASCAP Award (Top Television Series, por The Walking Dead). En 2010, ganó un IFMCA Award (Best Original Score for a Television Series, por Human Target). En 2009, fue galardonado con un IFMCA Award (Best Original Score for Television, por Battlestar Galactica) y un ASCAP Award (Top Television Series por Eureka ).
