We Came as Romans (abreviado como WCAR y antiguamente llamados This Emergency) es una banda estadounidense de metalcore formada en Troy, Míchigan, en el año 2005. El grupo se encuentra actualmente conformado por David Stephens (voz gutural), Andy Glass (bajo), Kyle Pavone (voz, multiinstrumentista), Joshua Moore (guitarra), Eric Choi (batería) y Brian «Lou» Cotton (guitarra). En abril de 2009 firmaron con el sello discográfico Equal Vision Records, con quienes han publicado cuatro álbumes de estudio: To Plant a Seed (2009), Understanding What We've Grown to Be (2011), Tracing Back Roots (2013) y We Came as Romans (2015).
