Blues Rock, Boogie Rrock, Hard Rock
Foghat es una banda británica de hard rock movido y boogie rock, originaria de Manchester formada en 1971.
Tras formar parte de Savoy Brown, el cantante y guitarrista “Lonesome” Dave Peverett (nacido el 16 de abril de 1943), el bajista Tone Stevens y el batería Roger Earl, junto al guitarrista Rod Price, formarían esta banda de hard-rock y boogie rock en 1968,Foghat, conjunto británico que curiosamente resultó mejor recibido en los Estados Unidos que en su propio país, especialmente gracias a sus interpretaciones en directo. Craig McGregor reemplazó a Jameson en “Night shift” (1976), un LP producido por Dan Hartman.
Antes de que Dave falleciera, Rod Price dejó la banda a fines del 1999 y tocó como solista sacando álbumes, mientras Price seguía como solista hasta su fallecimiento que sería 6 años después, Bryan Basset tomó el puesto como guitarrista líder, y tras la muerte de Dave, tuvo un reemplazante que sigue en Foghat, se llama Charlie Huhn.
En el año 2007 sacan su segundo disco en vivo el cual obtiene mucho éxito, incluso un disco Doble Platino tras vender 2.000.000 copias en Estados Unidos.
