MFSB era un grupo de más de treinta músicos de estudio con sede en Philadelphia en el Sigma Sound Studios, de la década de los ´70.
Trabajaron en estrecha colaboración con el equipo de producción de Gamble y Huff y el productor y arreglista Thom Bell. Respaldaban a grupos y artistas tales como Harold Melvin & the Blue Notes, the O’Jays, the Stylistics, the Spinners, Wilson Pickett y Billy Paul.
